“Started from the bottom, now we’re here,” goes one of Drake’s songs, which talks about his challenging ascent to the top. As with other successful musicians, the Grammy Award-winning Canadian rapper has embraced Rolex as a symbol of success – a reward for every career milestone he reaches.
While he’s never without a luxury watch on his wrist, they’re usually paired with his average Joe ensembles, so Drake remains very relatable, much like the music he creates.
Let’s look at some of the pieces he has on rotation:
Judging from his photos, it would be safe to say that his favorite Rolex is also the brand’s most premium line – the Rolex Day-Date. He has been spotted with several models including yellow gold with a diamond bezel and markers (ref 218348), white gold, platinum, and Everose gold.
He has also worn his Day-Date watches for some of his career milestones – such as on the cover of his second studio album Take Care, and most recently, on his British GQ best-dressed cover.

Drake also doesn’t have just one Rolex Daytona, but several of them, including a yellow gold model with a black Paul Newman style tribute dial (ref 116528), and other models in white gold, Everose gold and one with a diamond bezel.

Drake is a Rolex fan at heart, but once in a while you’ll find him wearing Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Richard Mille, and Patek Philippe. One of his more interesting choices is a white gold, diamond encrusted Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse, that Drake saw on Queen Elizabeth.

Drake also loves his Rolex in the rose gold hue. He owns several watches in Rolex’s patented pink gold alloy, the Everose gold – a Daytona, a Day-Date and this Sky-Dweller, with an Oyster bracelet.

He’s known for wearing more complicated or iced-out watches, but once in a while, Drake goes for more understated pieces – such as his vintage Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust from the 1970’s.
