#5 | Omega Seamaster PloProf (1970)The PloProf’s name is derived from the French plongeur professionnel or professional diver. The 1960s saw the rise of underwater exploration as well as sports like scuba diving. This lead Omega to develop a watch that is robust, waterproof, easily wearable, and high-depth rated. The PloProf cannot be mistaken for any other watch: its screwed-in crown is prominently located at 9 o’clock, and it is water resistant to an outstanding 4000 ft. It remains one of the most preferred watches of professional divers. SEE ALL PLOPROF > |
