With his career ever on the rise, comedian, host, political commentator, best-selling author and actor, Trevor Noah defines “hustle”. While he was already famous in his native South Africa, Trevor took America by storm, and is one of the busiest men in Hollywood today.
As they say, after the hustle comes the reward; and does Trevor have a taste for the finer things! He has one of the biggest watch collections in show business, with high-end pieces from Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Richard Mille. One brand still reigns supreme in his watch box though – and that’s Rolex. Check out the Rolex watch collection of Trevor Noah:
Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi
Trevor owns several Rolex GMT-Master watches; and the line-up won’t be complete without the iconic Pepsi. He wears the 2018 version of the iconic blue-and-red bezel watch (ref 126710 BLRO), which marked the first time that a steel Pepsi was equipped with a Cerachrom ceramic bezel.
It also comes with the latest version of the Rolex GMT-Master movement – the caliber 3285, which offers a 70-hour power reserve and ± 2 seconds per day accuracy.
In the 2020 Grammys, we spotted Trevor wearing an icier version of the Rolex Pepsi: the quietly released Everose GMT-Master II with a gem-set Pepsi bezel (ref 126755SARU). In place of aluminum or ceramic were factory-set blue and pink precious stones, while the lugs are covered with round, brilliant cut diamonds. It sure helped Trevor stand out from the crowd! Rounding out Trevor’s GMT-Master II collection is the Everose Gold ref 126715CHNR. Released in 2018, this sinfully rich model marked the first time that a GMT-Master II was constructed in solid Everose gold, and the bi-color bezel was done in black and brown. With its warm tones, it’s widely considered to be the modern version of the Rolex Rootbeer. Photo from J Balvin on Facebook
When it comes to the Rolex Daytona, Trevor chose two of the most elusive models from the past and the present. His modern-day Daytona is the Cerachrom bezel and Oystersteel version (ref 116500LN), one of the hardest Rolex watches to come by, with waitlists that span years. His choice is the striking white dial version, which has a notable contrast against the lustrous black bezel. Video from The Howard Stern Show on YouTube
Rolex Paul Newman Daytona
For his vintage Daytona, he chose the Rolex Daytona Paul Newman ref 6263. This Mark 1, Panda dial Paul Newman model is characterized by its Art Deco font, small squares on the subsidiary dials and screw down pushers for improved water resistance. Photos from Christie’s and Trevor Noah on Facebook
Trevor has a penchant for sporty timepieces, but he also made space for Rolex’s most prestigious dress watch: the Rolex President Day-Date. While the Day-Date earned a reputation for being the watch of leaders and presidents, it has also become a quintessential status symbol for young, accomplished people like Trevor.
His choice model comes in the iconic solid 18k yellow gold case and President bracelet, with a complementing champagne dial and diamonds in place of the hour markers. Photo from Trevor Noah on Twitter
No Rolex collection would be complete without the Rolex Submariner. Trevor’s choice is a model that always turns heads: the “Smurf”. Launched in 2008 for Rolex’s 100th anniversary, it was the firm’s first white gold Submariner and comes with an eye-catching lacquered blue dial and ceramic bezel. Photo from Trevor Noah on Facebook
