Bruce Springsteen or “The Boss” has had a successful music career spanning five decades. Known for his socially conscious songs and energetic performances, Bruce isn’t just one of the world’s best-selling artists – he’s a multi-awarded rock legend with several Grammys, Golden Globes, and Hall of Fame honors under his belt.
Aside from accolades and trophies, Bruce also has an impressive collection of timepieces, ranging from grail watches to modern classics. We’re putting the spotlight on Bruce Springsteen’s watch collection.
Heuer Autavia Orange Boy
One of Bruce’s favorite watches is the Heuer Autavia “Orange Boy”, pictured below. This reference 1163 was produced in the early 1970s, and was part of the generation that introduced Heuer’s automatic chronograph movement, the Chronomatic Caliber 11.
The Orange Boy is easy to spot for its rare orange seconds hand and orange stripes on the hour recorder. It usually comes with a leather strap, but Bruce wears it on a brown leather bund strap. (Photo from Niccoloy on Instagram, Watch photo from Christies)

In 2003, Tag Heuer issued a modern version of the Orange Boy with the reference CY2111. Like the original, it also features a C-shape case and a black panda dial offset beautifully by the orange accents.
Rolex Submariner ‘Red’
Bruce also wears one of the most notable vintage Rolex Submariners – the ‘Red’ Sub reference 1680. Its defining trait is a single line of red text above six o’clock bearing the Submariner name. Produced sometime in the 1970s, these models now have hour markers and hands that have aged to a light yellow color, only adding to its appeal.

Rolex Daytona 6263
Bruce also wears a very rare vintage Rolex Daytona reference 6263, with a monochromatic black and white palette. Produced from the 1970s until 1987, this reference features the second-generation screw-down chronograph pushers, that distinguish it from earlier models with traditional pump-style pushers. With this upgrade, it offered superior water resistance and increased depth rating, hence the “Oyster” printing on the dial. (Video from The Late Show on YouTube, Watch photo from Christies)
Rolex GMT-Master Pepsi 16750
From the Rolex GMT-Master line, Bruce wears the iconic blue and red bezeled Pepsi. His choice model is a reference 16750, which introduced the quickset feature, allowing the date to be set independently from the hour hand.
This was also the first model to introduce a 100m depth rating, doubling the water resistance of the previous Pepsi models. With these upgrades, the 16750 is considered a transitional model to the GMT-Master II.
Tudor Submariner ‘Snowflake’
Completing his vintage watch collection is the Tudor Submariner ‘Snowflake’. While Tudor Submariners were first made in 1954, they only introduced the Snowflake hands in 1969. The distinctive design was seen in Tudor Submariners until the mid-1980s, and would see a comeback with the Heritage Black Bay collection in 2012. (watch photo: Antiquorum)
Panerai Luminor Submersible
Bruce also wears modern timepieces. From Panerai, his choice is the Luminor Submersible reference 1024. The 44mm timepiece is a true dive watch, with a unidirectional rotating bezel, 300m water resistance, luminous hands and hour markers, and the crown protecting device that Panerai is famous for.
Tag Heuer Monaco
We’ve also spotted Bruce with a modern Tag Heuer Monaco. He wears the 2010 Edition, whose square case, rich royal blue dial and red central hand are faithful to the original model popularized by Steve McQueen. It was updated with the Calibre 12 and given a sunburst finish on the dial. Photo from Niccoloy on Instagram
